I just finished up this weekend shooting for a traveling softball team in our area, "Red Alert".
We had to move the appointment around quite a bit. It started off as a Wednesday, then was moved to Saturday.
The objective was to try to get some action shots as well as the team and individual pictures. Unfortunately it was cold and extremely wet Saturday. No joy. Fortunately, the coach (Thanks Coach!) secured the gymnasium in Brownstown so that if it rained again Sunday, we would have some place to shoot, and they could get some practice in.
Let me say I had a fantastic time with these athletes, and I hope they can say the same. They were smart, attentive and fun to work with. It probably the part of my job that I love the most is getting in there and interacting with my models. I tend to put a lot of energy into my shoots, and I love to see the athletes respond with the same enthusiasm and energy.
The other part of my job that I love is taking pictures from something like the green screen shot you see here into the finished product. The time limits on this one were pretty quick, as I promised I would have them up by Monday evening. It took quite a bit of work, and a bit of gnashing of teeth, but we made our deadline. And now, the athletes and parents have their proofs to select, and our order to be sent.
Special thanks to Amanda Brauer for being so patient with me as we worked through the bumps and ripples.
